In order to take advantage of new technologies, Environment Seremi of the Metropolitan Region, developed an application that will notify users about critical events that are enacted in the Metropolitan Region and also detail appropriate action. The application is called "Air Santiago" and will provide this information for free and permanently to iOS and Android devices.
"This application helps improve communication channels with the public, not only alerts on critical events, but also details the measures taken if any alert, pre-emergency or emergency," says Environment Minister Paul Badenier .
The main objective of "Air Santiago" is to contribute to the measures to have a greater impact, make them known and therefore implemented by a greater number of citizens in the metropolitan region.
