Vías Chile is a Chilean company specializing in the management and operation of highways and road concessions, covering 412 km of roads across the country. It is known for concessions such as Autopista Central—one of the most heavily traveled routes. The company focuses on sustainability and the use of advanced technologies to provide safe and efficient mobility solutions.

The Challenge

Improve the user experience (UX) of the website www.autopase.cl by optimizing its functionality to align with business objectives and enhance user interaction—ultimately contributing to greater operational efficiency.

Specific Objectives

  • Ensure smoother, more satisfying interactions through an improved user experience.
  • Increase the operational efficiency of the website.
  • Support the growth strategies of Autopista Central.
  • Define a new digital model aligned with market trends and evolving user needs.

Phases

Phase #1
Process Mapping (AS IS)
An in-depth analysis of the website’s current functionality was carried out to identify areas in need of improvement or redesign. This assessment allowed for a clear modeling of the site’s current state, revealing opportunities for optimization.
Phase #2
Future State Definition (TO BE)
Based on the previous analysis, a new website concept was developed, integrating enhancements in UX and functionality. The new design also prepares the platform to incorporate future technological trends and meet shifting market demands.

Results

Following the consulting process, three key initiatives were defined:
Initiative 1
This project marked a major milestone in operational efficiency for mining operations.
Initiative 2
Development of digital interactions integrated with the Back Office, identifying technological gaps and improving perceived value for customers.
Initiative 3
Enhancement of digital interactions in physical branches through omnichannel solutions.

The proposed initiatives drive the company’s digital transformation and align operations with strategic goals. Implementation of these recommendations is currently underway.
